Enhance your historical events with the presentation of period mandolin music from the 1800's and the exquisite vocals of Ashley Lewis. Ashley appears in beautiful authentic costume, accurate to the event's era, and will fulfill your musical needs at public and private functions, special affairs, museums, plantations, or historical events.
Ashley captivates audiences with her music and style as she entertains solo, or with violin/fiddle accompaniment. Imagine as your guests enter, and witness this living history exhibit as the young lady of the manor plays her mandolin and sings authentic songs of the era, providing a glimpse into the rarely seen musical side of life in the 1800's. As Ashley performs this inspiring program, she enchants with her musical expertise, along with an elegance and grace, reminiscent of past times.
Also accomplished on the guitar and fiddle, Ashley began playing the mandolin almost a decade ago and is the recipient of seven Illinois Arts Grants for mandolin. Her love of history and preservation led her to embark on this journey of musical history. She is also a prolific and profound songwriter and tours with her bluegrass band, Ashton Gap.
